What is port 995?

POP3S on port 995 is the TLS-encrypted version of POP3 (port 110). It uses TLS to secure the transfer of email messages from server to client. If POP3 is required, always configure clients to use port 995 rather than the unencrypted port 110. For modern deployments, IMAPS (port 993) is generally preferred due to its multi-device synchronization capabilities.
